Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

The leading sensors company in Reutlingen seeks a Manufacturing Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across internal and external production sites. You will shape strategy, ensure on‑time delivery, and lead cross‑functional teams to support rapid product ramp‑up and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement operations strategy to exceed customer expectations for ramp‑up, cost, and delivery.
• Manage day‑to‑day manufacturing activities with internal plants and external partners, setting performance goals for on‑time delivery, yield, productivity, and cost.
• Oversee the Operations team (Engineering, Supply Chain, Internal Production) and lead projects on process improvement, product transfers, qualification, equipment lifecycle, and mass‑production ramp.
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning to create stable global demand‑supply plans and align forecasts with manufacturing capacity.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, quality, procurement, legal, and senior management to develop a competitive manufacturing strategy.
• Provide clear leadership, inspire staff, and mentor team members in new skill development.

Required profile

• MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• More than 10 years of progressive semiconductor manufacturing experience, including operations, technology development, product engineering, supply chain, and external manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEMS and ASIC process technologies, yield improvement, environmental sensors, device physics, and semiconductor packaging, assembly, and test.
• Proven project‑management experience in process, product, or equipment transfers within the semiconductor industry.
• Experience leading teams across multiple locations in Germany and the Netherlands.
• Fluent in English and German.
