Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead and optimise semiconductor manufacturing activities across internal teams and external partners. The role combines people leadership with operational ownership, focusing on assembly, final test, supplier engagement and high‑volume production ramp‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations with external partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive performance across quality, delivery, cost and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage material planning and manufacturing readiness to meet customer demand.
• Support product ramp‑up and high‑volume manufacturing activities.
• Oversee assembly and final test operations across manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, quality and commercial teams.
• Lead and develop a team while fostering a strong operational culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier processes.
• Support manufacturing transfer activities and process improvements as required.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end semiconductor manufacturing process.
• Experience with assembly and final test operations.
• Proven track record managing external manufacturing partners, subcontractors, foundries or OSAT environments.
• Background in high‑volume production and manufacturing ramp‑up.
• Previous people‑leadership experience.
• Experience managing suppliers and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Exposure to supply chain and material management processes.
• Relevant experience at companies such as NXP, STMicroelectronics, Nexperia, Infineon, onsemi, or similar.
• Fluent in English and German (minimum C1).
