Model Audit Manager

About the role

Gridlines is seeking a Model Audit Manager to lead the review and validation of complex financial models for our high‑impact clients. You will work closely with a team of modelling professionals, ensuring models are robust, accurate, and aligned with commercial documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of active model‑audit assignments and lead each engagement from start to finish.
• Perform arithmetic and commercial checks using software tools and parallel model development.
• Review commercial documentation and translate it accurately into model assumptions.
• Develop and enhance modelling methodologies, tools, and documentation standards.
• Lead project planning, timeline creation, and resource allocation for efficient delivery.
• Train, motivate, and manage junior model‑audit staff.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, simplifying complex issues for non‑technical audiences.
• Support business development by contributing to client pitches and building relationships.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in a financial role within a recognised advisory practice or large corporate.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is a plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of project finance and financial modelling principles.
• Degree in a numerate discipline; postgraduate finance or accounting qualification is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for building and operating financial models.
• Familiarity with the FAST financial modelling standard (desirable).
