Senior Associate – Private Equity (Munich)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join a well‑established mid‑market private equity platform in Munich. The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to senior decision‑makers and the chance to work on both new transactions and portfolio value‑creation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support transactions from initial screening through execution, including financial analysis, valuation, due‑diligence coordination and preparation of investment materials.
• Develop clear sector views, assess market dynamics, business quality and investment risks.
• Prepare high‑quality committee papers, presentations and decision documents for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with portfolio company leadership on growth initiatives, strategic projects and performance tracking.
• Own workstreams while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in private equity, investment banking, M&A, transaction services, leveraged finance or strategy consulting.
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills combined with strong commercial judgment.
• Proven ability to manage analytical workstreams with accuracy and speed.
• Genuine interest in mid‑market investing and post‑acquisition value creation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English.
