Senior Software Developer – Test Frameworks Frontend Services

About the role

Join the Test Frameworks Frontend Services team within the Test Frameworks and Instrumentation department at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. You will contribute to the development of cutting‑edge test and simulation tools that support aircraft programs throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software for the Test‑and‑Simulation Framework (TSF) using C++.
• Implement graphical user interface (GUI) components for TSF.
• Create, execute, and maintain unit tests and conduct code reviews.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art technologies and support virtual engineering environments.
• Provide 2nd‑level support for AIDASS/MaTE rigs and the SI² simulation framework.
• Assist customers in application development and system testing.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes and support software teams with concepts and technologies.
• Review and approve technical designs, ensuring code‑quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and solutions.
• Mentor junior developers on best practices and coding standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Significant experience in C++ software development.
• Strong understanding of GUI development, unit testing and code review processes.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for aerospace testing.
