Simulation UI Software Engineer – Qt/QML

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Simulation UI Software Engineer to develop and maintain the user interfaces of control and instructor stations for high‑fidelity aircraft simulators. The role focuses on designing intuitive front‑ends using a custom Qt/QML framework and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable simulation products.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders and customers.
• Define and architect the software foundation for simulation control, instructor, and debriefing stations.
• Design and implement user‑friendly interfaces with Qt/QML.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Debug, test, and fix software issues.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.
• Maintain scalable and maintainable software architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
