Site Engineer – Civil Projects Across Europe

About the role

NexVentur is looking for a Site Engineer to support its growing European operations. You will work on large‑scale civil engineering packages for commercial construction projects in Germany and the Netherlands, collaborating with experienced project teams in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil engineering packages on commercial construction sites.
• Carry out setting‑out, surveying and general site‑engineering duties.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and design teams.
• Maintain accurate site records, QA documentation and progress reports.
• Monitor quality control procedures and health, safety and environmental standards.
• Assist in coordinating subcontractors, plant and materials on site.
• Identify and resolve engineering and technical issues as they arise.
• Conduct site inspections, support handovers and snagging activities.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Site Engineer on civil or construction projects.
• Experience with commercial groundworks, infrastructure or heavy civils projects is desirable.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across European sites.
• EU passport or eligibility to work in Europe is advantageous.

Required skills

• Setting‑out and surveying using GPS and total‑station equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in construction environments.
