Site Manager – Construction Projects (Wind Energy)

About the role

As a Site Manager within Vestas Wind Systems' Construction department, you will lead the organization and execution of wind turbine construction sites across Northern & Central Europe. Your focus will be on delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage all site activities to meet scope, budget, timeline and quality targets.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring all permits, authorizations and contract requirements are fulfilled.
• Implement and monitor compliance with safety, quality and legal regulations, applying Vestas HSE and Quality Control standards.
• Prepare the site before work begins, including inductions, toolbox talks and documentation setup.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders—clients, suppliers and project managers—and provide regular progress updates.
• Monitor daily construction progress, identify risks or issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage site documentation, reporting, deliveries, logistics and scheduling.
• Review contracts, technical documents and project plans to ensure alignment with execution.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
• Proven experience in the construction industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Understanding of process safety standards and local legislation.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German.
