Assistant Accountant – Hybrid – €60,000

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Frankfurt. Working in a hybrid model, you will support accurate financial reporting and maintain robust financial controls across the regions we serve.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and supporting the month‑end close process.
• Analyse income streams such as membership subscriptions, training programmes and events.
• Prepare journals, accruals and pre‑payments and contribute to variance analysis for management reporting.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and maintain supporting documentation.
• Process and review accounts payable, receivable and intercompany transactions as required.
• Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with local statutory and group reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and operations colleagues to gather information, resolve queries and provide timely financial data.
• Identify and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives within finance operations.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting or finance functions, preferably with exposure to month‑end close activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration across regions.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes and take on additional responsibilities.
