Director of Procurement – Renewable Energy

About the role

As the Director of Procurement you will lead the logistics, planning and purchasing functions for ib vogt's global solar power projects. You will ensure that procurement processes are cost‑effective, efficient and aligned with the company’s high standards for quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee logistics, planning and purchasing to guarantee consistency, cost‑effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop, improve and apply procurement strategies, principles, processes and policies across all operating jurisdictions.
• Manage project risks with creative problem‑solving and appropriate escalation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and board members to align procurement strategy with corporate goals.
• Build and nurture relationships with key vendors and service providers to support business scaling.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning with internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including management roles, in procurement and supply chain within the Renewable Energy sector.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities, comfortable in multicultural teams.
• Proven experience in contract negotiations and multi‑site, multi‑vendor order management.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle legal, liability and insurance matters.
• Preferred: Executive MBA, CIPS certification, Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
