Interim Associate or Senior Editor – Nature Reviews Computing

About the role

Springer Nature is launching a new journal, Nature Reviews Computing, in January 2027. The journal seeks an interim Associate or Senior Editor to help define its editorial direction and build its content portfolio over an initial fixed‑term period.

Key responsibilities

• Commission high‑impact Review, Perspective and Comment articles covering the full spectrum of computer science and its applications.
• Work closely with authors throughout the writing and revision process, providing feedback on synopses, developmental editing, and figure concepts.
• Organise and manage peer‑review workflows, evaluate reviewer feedback, and make informed editorial decisions.
• Write Research Highlights and other editorial pieces that clearly communicate significant scientific advances to a broad audience.
• Liaise extensively with researchers through institutional visits, international conferences, and community engagement to strengthen the journal’s network.

Required profile

• Interim Associate or Senior Editor for a newly launching scientific journal.
• Ability to collaborate with authors and reviewers to shape high‑quality content.
• Experience in managing peer‑review processes and making editorial decisions.
