IT Infrastructure Architect (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an IT Infrastructure Architect (d/f/m) to shape the evolution of its modern, scalable development and integration environments for hundreds of engineers. You will own end‑to‑end accountability, empowering Software and DevOps teams to deliver high‑quality products worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Capture infrastructure needs and requirements from developers and DevOps engineers.
• Define the technology strategy for the IT infrastructure.
• Develop, implement and maintain infrastructure services and architectural blueprints.
• Compile infrastructure policies, define standards and maintain internal IaaS (e.g., Proxmox, Kubernetes) and PaaS services (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, Vault, openNMS, Foreman).
• Coordinate closely with corporate IT services such as Corporate Governance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of professional experience designing and operating enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Expertise in virtualization, storage, automation and network design (Cisco, Aruba, SonicOS).
• Experience with dynamic provisioning, immutable systems and high‑availability, scalability and fault‑tolerance concepts.
• Strong multi‑distribution Linux skills and proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, C++, Go.
