Junior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Join Flix’s Platform Engineering team to design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure that powers travel services across Europe and beyond. You will work with a Kubernetes‑based platform on AWS, helping engineering teams ship reliable, scalable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure using Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Support API infrastructure, including API gateways and external API publishing.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and improve reliability and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure effective platform usage.
• Continuously improve platform tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to maintain platform stability.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of professional experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Python.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and shell usage.
• Familiarity with containerisation and interest in Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Fluent in English.
