Lead Developer – Java & AI

About the role

Infosys is looking for an experienced Lead Developer who combines deep Java expertise with hands‑on AI and Generative AI knowledge. The role is based in Bad Homburg, Germany and focuses on building enterprise‑scale applications and AI‑driven conversational solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI‑powered applications, including LLM‑based chatbots and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Implement prompt‑engineering frameworks, evaluate AI models, and monitor model performance.
• Lead the creation of micro‑services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and modern DevOps practices.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor development teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and solution governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior Java developer with a strong background in REST API development and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience delivering production‑grade AI/LLM solutions.
• Ability to lead technical teams, provide mentorship, and drive architectural decisions.
