PHP Developer (Senior / Mid-Level) – Remote in Germany

About the role

We are looking for a PHP Developer to join Gambio’s development team (6‑10 members) within the ECOMMERCE ONE group. The role is fully remote within Germany, with occasional in‑person meetings and company events.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new features for the Gambio shop software from concept to release, contributing ideas for further development.
• Extend and maintain our REST API, event system, and integrations with payment providers, marketplaces, shipping services, and ERP systems.
• Identify and fix bugs, collaborating closely with the support team.
• Write automated tests, conduct code reviews, and participate in an agile team alongside product owners and QA.

Required profile

• Professional experience in PHP development, confident with PHP 8 and object‑oriented programming.
• Familiarity with MySQL/MariaDB, Git, and Composer.
• Experience with REST APIs and standards such as OAuth.
• Hands‑on experience with automated testing (e.g., PHPUnit), CI pipelines, and Docker.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work independently in a distributed team.
