Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & M&A)

About the role

Freenow by Lyft is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to shape its corporate governance and M&A strategy across Europe. You will act as the primary legal architect for acquisitions while overseeing the lifecycle of its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage entity lifecycle, corporate secretarial duties, and board support for European subsidiaries.
• Draft and negotiate intercompany agreements and support group reorganisations.
• Provide ongoing corporate law advice to internal business units.
• Lead full M&A processes: deal preparation, LOI drafting, legal due diligence, and negotiation of SPAs, TSAs.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals and drive deals to completion.
• Design post‑close integration plans and ensure harmonised governance.
• Oversee and manage external counsel across jurisdictions, controlling budgets and deliverables.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law and M&A.
• Experience in both top‑tier law firms and in‑house roles within fast‑paced tech environments.
• Fluent English; professional German is a strong advantage.
• Proven project‑management skills handling multi‑jurisdictional deals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influence abilities.
