Academic Employee in Bioinformatics – Pharmaceutical Biotechnology

About the role

We are seeking an academic employee (m/f/d) at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology to strengthen our bioinformatics expertise. The position is full‑time, fixed‑term for three years, and starts as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bioinformatics analysis of high‑throughput datasets (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) within research projects.
• Assist in developing and delivering bioinformatics teaching modules for the new master’s program in Pharmaceutical & Molecular Biotechnology.
• Teach courses at bachelor’s and master’s level and supervise student projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of bioinformatic analysis of high‑throughput data.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1 or higher).
• Team‑oriented, motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Bioinformatics analysis of transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics data.
• Experience with high‑throughput data processing tools and pipelines.
