Accountant – ERP (Odoo) & Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous accountant to join our finance team in Munich. You will own day‑to‑day bookkeeping, payroll processing and expense reimbursement while supporting budgeting and grant‑related financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping in Odoo, including account coding, invoice entry and reconciliations.
• Prepare and run monthly payroll in close collaboration with HR.
• Process employee travel and expense reimbursements.
• Assist the Head of Finance with budget preparation, tracking actuals and variance analysis.
• Maintain cost allocation for grant‑funded projects and compile documentation for EU‑funded grant applications and usage reports.
• Produce monthly financial statistics and management reports.
• Participate in cross‑functional finance projects aimed at improving internal processes and systems.

Required profile

• Completed degree or commercial training in accounting/finance.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and international accounting standards.

Required skills

• Proficient use of the ERP system Odoo.
• Solid understanding of ERP bookkeeping processes.
• Experience with German GAAP (HGB).
• Familiarity with international accounting standards.
