Agent Development Strategist

About the role

As an Agent Strategist, you own how Sierra's AI agents come to life for our customers — from the first pilot to a production agent handling thousands of conversations a day. You sit at the intersection of product, engineering and customer‑facing work, staying close to both technology and the people you build for. You transform high‑stakes customer problems into agents that measurably move their business.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle, taking agents from scope through design, tooling, evaluation, launch and continuous iteration.
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise leaders, shaping AI strategy that delivers measurable business outcomes.
• Partner daily with customer teams, run working sessions, troubleshoot issues and keep projects on track for launch.
• Influence product direction by surfacing unmet needs from customer work and feeding them back to research and platform teams.

Required profile

• Customer obsession with a genuine energy for front‑line engagement and relationship building.
• Clear, direct communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strategic problem‑solving in ambiguous environments with strong analytical skills.
• Technical aptitude for reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture.
• Proven ownership and delivery of multiple complex, high‑visibility projects.

Required skills

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production.
• Hands‑on work with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering.
