Applied Mathematician

About the role

Circonomit is building decision infrastructure for industrial companies, turning complex production planning problems into actionable models. As an Applied Mathematician you will own the mathematical core of these models, ensuring they are accurate, scalable, and ready for real‑world use.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the mathematics behind optimization models, from formulation to solver integration.
• Translate customer planning data (ERP, Excel exports) into end‑to‑end models that generate actionable recommendations.
• Scale models to cover multiple sites, periods, and constraints while preserving performance.
• Define new modeling capabilities and decide which problem features the engine should support or reject.
• Develop features, ship them to production, and monitor their operation.

Required profile

• Strong background in applied mathematics, operations research, or a related field.
• Experience with combinatorial or integer optimization on real‑world data.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving, small‑team environment.
• Comfort handling messy, customer‑provided data and turning it into clean models.
