Applied ML Researcher – Remote, $90/hr

About the role

We are seeking an Applied ML Researcher to join leading AI research labs on a fully remote, contract basis. You will design and deliver end‑to‑end machine‑learning solutions for complex prediction and modeling challenges, collaborating with top‑tier talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end ML solutions for diverse prediction problems.
• Analyze datasets, define modeling approaches, validation strategies, and evaluation metrics.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
• Train, tune, and evaluate models across tabular, text, image, and time‑series data.
• Review and validate technical quality of ML projects and deliverables.
• Identify and experiment with opportunities to improve model performance.

Required profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a top‑tier university.
• 2+ years of professional experience in machine learning, applied AI, data science, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics, validation methodologies, and experimental design.
• Ability to work independently on open‑ended ML problems and deliver high‑quality technical outputs.
