Assembly/Repair Technician – Set-up & Manual Soldering

About the role

We are looking for an Assembly/Repair Technician who will also act as a Set‑up Technician and Manual Solderer. The position is based in Bremen and supports our defence‑related electronics projects by assembling, testing and repairing mechanical and electrical sub‑assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical sub‑assemblies according to drawings, bills of materials and work instructions.
• Commission and test devices at system level, perform interface tests and document results.
• Set up, operate and re‑tool SMT assembly systems and stencil printers.
• Monitor vapour‑phase soldering processes to ensure high‑quality solder joints.
• Conduct visual inspections in line with IPC Class 3 requirements.
• Identify process deviations, propose corrective actions and minimise scrap.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
• Manual hand‑assembly, soldering (THT & SMD) and rework of printed circuit boards.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in assembling electronic modules.
• Basic knowledge of English (spoken and written) and good German language skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and SAP.
• High degree of precision, quality awareness and ability to work well in a team.
