Assistant Nurse Manager – ICU

About the role

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Critical Care RN to serve as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Intensive Care Unit. In this leadership position you will support patient care delivery, supervise supportive staff, and ensure high‑quality nursing practice within a fast‑paced ICU environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare assigned rooms and cases, anticipating patient needs.
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—to develop individualized care plans.
• Supervise supportive personnel and collaborate with ancillary services to deliver seamless care.
• Engage patients, families, and significant others in education about disease processes and care plans.
• Maintain call coverage as required and uphold performance standards for ICU nursing.

Required profile

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in medical‑surgical, post‑surgical, and critical care nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and coordinate multidisciplinary care.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• RN licensure.
