Assistant Teacher

About the role

BrightPath Kids is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join its West Loop campus. In this full-time position you will support lead teachers and families in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist lead teachers with daily instruction and classroom activities.
• Prepare and decorate classroom spaces both inside and outdoors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, warm environment that encourages exploration and growth.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and social interaction.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child’s day and progress.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and work within regular operating hours.
• Meet state criteria for child-care employment.
