Associate Payloads Design Engineer – Seat Integration

About the role

Boeing is expanding its Seat Integration teams in Germany and seeks an Associate Payloads Design Engineer to support structural and interior system development for all Boeing aircraft models, both line‑fit and retrofit. You will work on the design, analysis, and certification of payload‑related components, ensuring they meet rigorous safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior (payload) system requirements using established standards and processes.
• Perform analyses and incorporate test results to verify that systems and components meet specifications; flag issues that could affect project milestones.
• Evaluate supplier technical data and design solutions, such as seat envelope drawings and installation constraints, and provide recommendations for robust integration.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and analysis processes and tools.
• Support certification activities by preparing technical data and collaborating with the Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of structural and interior aircraft systems.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
