Back End Developer – Fintech AI Neobank

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build the core systems behind BJAK’s AI‑powered Neobank app. You will create reliable, high‑performance APIs and services that support onboarding, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX, KYC and risk flows for millions of users across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for financial products.
• Ensure system reliability, security, low latency, observability and data integrity.
• Integrate with internal platforms, financial partners, payment providers, AI services and third‑party APIs.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile and AI teams to launch features quickly and safely.
• Automate manual processes, simplify workflows and improve existing infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production‑grade backend systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, queues, jobs and event‑driven architectures.
• Track record of delivering services used by real customers at scale.
• Debugging, reliability, security and data‑quality mindset.
• Ability to balance speed, correctness, scalability and maintainability.
• Fintech, payments or KYC experience is a plus but not mandatory.
