Backend Engineer (All Genders)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our fast‑growing construction‑tech startup. You will work in a cross‑functional team to build reliable, high‑quality backend services that power our platform and help construction companies plan and execute projects more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to design and implement new features.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs (REST and GraphQL) and contribute to the Vue.js front‑end components.
• Shape the overall system architecture and ensure scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Work closely with senior engineers to adopt best practices for development, infrastructure and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, give constructive feedback and continuously learn from the team.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional software engineering experience with solid fundamentals.
• Ability to switch between front‑end and back‑end tasks as needed.
• Strong understanding of technical trade‑offs, scalability and performance considerations.
• Passion for building reliable, user‑centric systems in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Ownership mindset, proactive problem‑solving and alignment with our culture of transparency and collaboration.
