Backend Engineer

About the role

This is a core backend engineering role on a small, high‑caliber founding team building AI‑native operations infrastructure for private markets. You will own the systems that power fund accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and treasury automation, with a strong emphasis on permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability across both hosted and self‑hosted deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend infrastructure for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
• Manage deployment architectures for hosted and self‑hosted environments using infrastructure‑as‑code tooling.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and security in production.
• Partner closely with product to deliver features while upholding quality standards.
• Drive AI‑native development practices to enable rapid, high‑quality releases.

Required profile

• 1 to 6 years of professional backend development experience.
• Production experience building backend services with TypeScript and NestJS.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma.
• Experience managing deployments with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• A track record of improving production reliability, security, performance, observability, or auditability.
• Practical experience with AI, ML, LLM, or AI‑native systems in a production context.

What we offer

• Salary range: 70,000 to 110,000 EUR per year.
