Backend Engineer – Transaction

About the role

JD.com is looking for a Backend Engineer focused on transaction services to join its London team. You will work on core order and transaction workflows, ensuring reliability and data consistency in a high‑traffic e‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain transaction‑related backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build core business processes for order and transaction workflows.
• Guarantee data consistency, system reliability and correctness across critical business processes.
• Support stable operation of transaction systems under high concurrency.
• Participate in requirement discussions, technical design and code reviews.
• Document and share technical solutions and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Java programming and Spring Boot.
• Experience building or maintaining core business systems in a structured development environment.
• Awareness of data protection, security or compliance requirements in transaction systems.
• Effective communication skills in English and Chinese.
