Backend Software Engineer

About the role

As a Backend Engineer at ACC Group AG you will build and maintain the core systems that power an AI‑driven financial ecosystem. You will work on APIs, data pipelines, micro‑services and security infrastructure that support both internal tools and client‑facing products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate robust backend services and APIs for web, mobile and internal applications.
• Build and manage real‑time data pipelines processing large volumes of financial and behavioural data.
• Develop micro‑services architectures with a focus on performance, scalability and resilience.
• Implement authentication, authorization and encryption to meet GDPR, FADP and FINMA compliance.
• Collaborate with AI, data‑science and infrastructure teams to deploy and monitor production models.
• Integrate external APIs, data providers and financial systems securely.
• Create monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure uptime and auditability.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and DevSecOps practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development or infrastructure engineering.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Message queues / streaming: Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.

• Security: identity management, encryption, vulnerability assessment.
• CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing.
