Big Data Scientist for Services Analytics Platform

About the role

The Services Analytics Platform, operating in an Agile Scrum environment, is looking for an experienced Big Data Scientist to enhance Airbus Defence and Space's analytics capabilities for major customers and large aircraft. You will help develop data‑driven services that improve performance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ask the right questions to support discovery and identify high‑impact data‑analytics problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and visualisation to uncover insights.
• Conduct data wrangling: transform, cleanse and link data from multiple sources.
• Provide curated data sets for machine‑learning models and determine attribute relationships.
• Apply data‑mining techniques and statistical analysis to build and validate predictive models.
• Present findings to stakeholders using visualisation and other communication tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Big Data Scientist or similar role.
• Familiarity with the business domain and awareness of market trends.
• Ability to translate analytical results into actionable recommendations.
