Business Consultant - Financial Services (Digital Euro)

About the role

Publicis Sapient is looking for a Business Consultant (Manager/Specialist) in financial services in Frankfurt. The role supports banks, central banks and other financial institutions in preparing for the digital euro and other strategic, regulatory and technology-driven transformations, working in agile, interdisciplinary teams at the intersection of technology, regulation and strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of strategies and business cases for the digital euro and other transformation programmes
• Analyse economic, technological and regulatory frameworks, including ECB, CBDC, KYC and digital wallet solutions
• Develop use cases, prototypes and business impact assessments
• Contribute to the conceptual design of payment architectures and blockchain-based applications
• Collaborate with specialists across data, technology, policy and design
• Prepare proposals and support structuring and negotiation of client agreements
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual booking targets through business development

Required profile

• Product or strategy-oriented background with professional experience in financial services
• Strong experience in financial services product management, ideally in payments, digital identity or retail and wholesale banking
• Experience defining and managing product roadmaps focused on security, compliance and resilience
• Ability to engage banks, payment service providers, fintechs and regulators
• Experience in complex payment systems or large financial infrastructure projects, and as a functional SME supporting development teams
• Agile experience (SAFe, PI cycles) and backlog management; end-to-end process flow definition
• German and English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Knowledge of CBDCs, digital wallets and/or ISO 20022 (direct CBDC experience is an advantage)
• Familiarity with DORA, GDPR, PSD2, eIDAS and AML/KYC, able to turn them into product specifications
