Business Controller – Retail & Web (Full‑time)

About the role

Sephora is seeking a Business Controller to lead day‑to‑day controlling activities for its retail and web operations in Düsseldorf. You will act as a key partner to the Finance Director and collaborate closely with internal teams and the European Headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full P&L management, including revenue and cost control, for retail and e‑commerce business.
• Support the annual budgeting process, periodic reviews, financial planning and ad‑hoc simulations.
• Prepare regular forecasts, weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and assist in their execution.
• Provide analytical insights and act as a sparring partner for finance and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, preferably within retail.
• Strong knowledge of monthly and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Microsoft Office) skills.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
