Business Data Analyst – Berlin

About the role

As a Business Data Analyst at mama health, you will act as the bridge between the Data Science team and Customer Success, turning complex healthcare data into actionable insights for pharmaceutical clients. The role is based on‑site in Berlin and combines technical analysis with client‑facing communication.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business questions into analytical approaches and client‑ready deliverables.
• Build reports, presentations and analytical models that illustrate patient journeys and treatment experiences.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, analyse and validate data.
• Use Python for data analysis and automation where appropriate.
• Present insights to internal stakeholders and occasionally to clients.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Customer Success and the founders to improve data communication.
• Identify trends, patterns and opportunities within complex healthcare datasets.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, data consulting or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent business acumen and curiosity about the “why” behind data.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting findings.
• Experience in a consulting or client‑facing environment is highly valued.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup with high ownership.
• Native or bilingual English proficiency.
