Business Development Manager (German Market)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our distribution network in the German market. The role focuses on building strong partnerships with tobacco shops, supermarkets, e‑commerce platforms and other channel partners, while supporting growth across other European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain distribution channels in Germany, including tobacco shops, supermarkets, e‑commerce platforms and MDs.
• Build long‑term partnerships and achieve sales targets.
• Analyse market dynamics, create localized sales plans and drive channel coverage.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support business expansion in Europe.
• Respond to partner needs, coordinate resources and provide solutions to improve product sales.
• Monitor sales processes, gather competitive intelligence and identify market opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience.
• Minimum 3 years of channel sales experience in e‑cigarette, tobacco or FMCG, preferably with existing contacts in German supermarkets, tobacco shops, e‑commerce and MD channels.
• Native or near‑native German proficiency and fluent English communication.
• Understanding of German regulations for tobacco/e‑cigarette is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, relationship‑building and business development track record.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
