Business Development Manager – International Sales

About the role

Excelitas Technologies seeks a Business Development Manager to drive international sales of advanced optical components and systems, supporting customers across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• International sales of standard and custom lenses, laser optics, machine vision, and precision optical systems.
• Strategic business development through acquisition of new customers, applications, and projects.
• Identification and development of new markets and business opportunities.
• Comprehensive support for existing customers, sales partners, and new customers.
• Management of the full sales process from initial contact to contract signing.
• Close collaboration with development, applications, product management, and project management teams.
• Negotiating with decision‑makers and senior management.
• Representing the company at international trade shows, conferences, and customer events.

Required profile

• In‑depth technical knowledge in semi‑backend, optics, laser optics, or machine vision.
• Excellent business acumen with strong negotiation and closing skills.
• A degree in a technical or business field or comparable qualification.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development.
• Experience in an international customer and project environment.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high initiative, and strong customer focus.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
