About the role
The Business Development Manager will drive local partnerships with merchandise partners, manufacturers and brands, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and delivering value for both the business and its customers. You will act as a key liaison, guiding partners through onboarding and shaping market positioning, product planning and operational strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Support the execution of effective local partnerships and implement category selections to maximise business and customer value.
- Guide assigned merchandise partners through the platform onboarding process and communicate plans on market positioning, brand marketing and operations.
- Collect and analyse category performance data, providing feedback and actionable suggestions.
- Coordinate resources and provide merchant guidance to deliver project plans on time.
- Produce industry analysis reports to identify emerging customer needs.
- Adjust tactics in response to market trends and strategic directives.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience, preferably in brand management or platform operations.
- Strong network of local sellers and vendors is a plus.
- Excellent data‑analysis capability to interpret industry trends and draw conclusions.
- Ability to develop market‑exploration strategies and innovate merchant marketing plans.
- Proven problem‑solving skills, self‑motivation and strategic thinking.
- Comfort working under pressure and managing logistics during peak periods.
