Business Development Manager

About the role

Pion is expanding into the DACH region and seeks a Business Development Manager to be the founding commercial hire in Germany. You will create a new market for enterprise B2C brands across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, connecting them to Pion’s leading closed consumer group platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full new‑business sales cycle from prospecting to close, including qualification, discovery calls, demos, proposal development, negotiation and deal closing.
• Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise B2C brand partners across fashion, retail, tech, food & drink, travel and entertainment, adapting Pion’s GTM pitch for the German‑speaking market.
• Drive pipeline growth through outbound prospecting using Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, while maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene.
• Execute a targeted outreach strategy as the region’s first commercial hire, acting as a proactive lead generator and trusted advisor to prospects.
• Represent Pion at DACH industry events, trade shows and networking forums, travel to client sites when needed, and feed market intelligence back to internal teams.

Required profile

• Founding commercial hire for the DACH market with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience building a market from scratch and managing enterprise B2C relationships.
• Fluency in German to localise sales materials and communicate with regional partners.
