Business Development Representative (VIE) – Germany

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking a Business Development Representative on a VIE contract to become the company’s commercial entry point in Germany. Based in Munich, you will support the early‑stage commercial development of AI‑guided defense solutions with German prime contractors and institutional customers.

Key responsibilities

• Map Germany’s defence industrial landscape, identifying primes, systems integrators, procurement bodies and innovation initiatives.
• Build first‑contact relationships with BD, engineering and procurement teams at target accounts such as Rheinmetall, Hensoldt, KNDS and Diehl.
• Support the Account Manager Germany in qualifying opportunities and converting them into a qualified pipeline.
• Produce regular market intelligence reports on policy, procurement priorities and investment programmes for the Paris leadership team.
• Represent Alta Ares at key German defence events (e.g., DSEI, ILA Berlin, Eurosatory) and coordinate logistics for partner visits and demos.

Required profile

• 0–3 years of experience; recent graduates and early‑career candidates are welcome.
• Background in business development, international relations, political science, engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in defence, AI and C‑UAS technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously and act as a bridge between Munich and the Paris headquarters.
