Casual Academic Tutor – Integrated First Year Business Courses

About the role

UNSW Business School is seeking enthusiastic casual academics to join the Integrated First Year (IFY) teaching team. You will deliver face‑to‑face, hybrid and online tutorials and workshops that integrate contemporary business themes across disciplines for first‑year Bachelor of Commerce students.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate tutorials, workshops and seminars for IFY business courses.
• Deliver content that links business opportunities, problems and organisational contexts.
• Collaborate with lecturers from multiple disciplines to create integrated learning experiences.
• Complete associated administrative tasks such as marking and student feedback.
• Support student career development activities embedded in the curriculum.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in teaching, coaching or mentoring at tertiary level.
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary business education.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic team.
• Motivation to complete job‑related administrative duties.
• Legal right to work in Australia and an Australian bank account.

Required skills

• Effective communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience designing and delivering hybrid or online learning sessions.
• Knowledge of contemporary business concepts and interdisciplinary approaches.
