Child Care Assistant Teacher – Full‑Time

About the role

BrightPath Kids is seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our early‑learning center in Berlin, CT. This full‑time position offers paid training for candidates without prior classroom experience and provides a supportive environment aligned with NAEYC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist lead teachers with daily instruction and classroom activities.
• Decorate and maintain both indoor and outdoor classroom spaces.
• Foster a warm, clean, and exploratory environment for children.
• Engage children in activities that promote learning and social interaction.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about each child’s progress.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child‑care employment.
