Civil Superintendent

About the role

The Civil Superintendent leads daily civil construction activities on site, ensuring that all work is performed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all civil works including earthworks, foundations, concrete, structures and utilities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and verify progress against the project schedule.
• Implement and enforce the project’s Quality Control Plan and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Perform quality inspections, monitor test results such as concrete strength and compaction, and ensure compliance with DIN/EN standards.
• Manage non‑conformance reports, corrective actions and maintain quality documentation.
• Enforce health, safety and environment (HSE) rules and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain daily reports, records and support as‑built documentation.
• Communicate effectively with engineering, construction management and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of civil construction experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and technical standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manage teams and resolve field issues.
• Professional fluency in German and English, both verbal and written.
