Clinical Trainer – EMEA (Medical Device)

About the role

The Clinical Trainer will act as the clinical and product expert for Abiomed’s circulatory and respiratory support devices across the EMEA region. You will design, deliver, and monitor training programs that certify field‑based support teams, internal staff, and distributors, ensuring safe and effective product use.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct multi‑month onboarding trainings (virtual and in‑person) for new field employees covering product knowledge, clinical applications, and commercial fundamentals.
• Evaluate competency requirements and certify field staff through testing and exam administration.
• Create and maintain continuing education curricula for the field support team.
• Support customer activities in the field and travel to training sites as needed.

Required profile

• Strong background in clinical medicine or biomedical engineering related to circulatory/respiratory support devices.
• Experience delivering technical training to healthcare professionals or sales teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to travel regularly across the EMEA region.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Abiomed’s product portfolio and associated clinical protocols.
• Proficiency in designing and delivering both virtual and face‑to‑face training sessions.
• Ability to assess competency, conduct certification exams, and provide feedback.
