Communications Executive

About the role

Sonoton Music is seeking a proactive Communications Executive to join its small, family‑owned team in Munich. You will help amplify the company’s extensive music catalogue and support composers by creating and executing engaging marketing and digital campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social‑media and content strategies across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Manage social channels, maintain editorial calendars and actively engage online communities.
• Analyse social metrics and internal data to refine strategies and uncover growth opportunities.
• Plan, create and coordinate content with internal teams and external partners for artist campaigns, album releases and events.
• Research market and music‑industry trends, staying current on pop‑culture and best‑practice marketing.
• Organise marketing assets (images, video, copy) and ensure smooth collaboration with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Music Business or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• Creative passion for music and a strong desire to build a career in the music sector.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, organized and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Team player with a hands‑on attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Experience with Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Metricool and Trello.
• Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (plus).
