Construction Assistant Project Manager

About the role

Cumming Group is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of construction, real‑estate and infrastructure projects. The role offers the chance to work alongside senior managers, gain exposure to the full project life‑cycle and develop technical knowledge in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the management team with day‑to‑day project delivery, working with minimal supervision.
• Support knowledge capture, sharing and innovation initiatives.
• Help prepare and evaluate tenders, contractor selections and contract documentation.
• Contribute to risk, value and change management processes.
• Provide contract administration, monthly reporting and coordination of project meetings.
• Ensure all outputs meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Follow health & safety, quality assurance and client governance procedures.
• Support development and management of project programmes and stakeholder buy‑in.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Degree in civil engineering (Bauingenieurwesen) – Bachelor’s or Master’s.
• Developing knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
• Good oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities with clients and internal teams.
• High degree of integrity and commitment to professional development.

Required skills

• Basic project management processes: risk, opportunities, issues, change control.
• Understanding of the full project life‑cycle.
