Construction Director – Data Centre Project

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Director to lead the delivery of a mission‑critical data centre in the Frankfurt region. The role carries overall responsibility for site‑based construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all on‑site construction work.
• Develop and implement the construction strategy and delivery plan.
• Manage construction managers, package managers, site managers and subcontractor teams.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical packages.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and drive recovery plans.
• Lead regular coordination and progress meetings.
• Ensure subcontractor performance meets contractual obligations.
• Maintain strong relationships with client, consultants and design teams.
• Guarantee compliance with health, safety, environmental and German construction regulations.
• Support procurement, review methodologies, logistics plans and risk assessments.
• Manage interfaces between construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Provide accurate progress reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Construction Director, Project Director or senior construction leader.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale data centre or mission‑critical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure for data centres.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and major subcontract packages.
• Solid knowledge of construction programming and scheduling.
