Construction Manager – Barcelona

About the role

Utopia is seeking a hands‑on Construction Manager to lead the on‑site delivery of a high‑end luxury villa in Barcelona. The role serves as the primary link between remote design and project teams and the daily construction activities, ensuring quality, schedule and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities, guaranteeing compliance with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, promptly addressing safety or quality issues.
• Ensure construction follows approved plans, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Head of Construction on schedule, resource allocation and material procurement.
• Maintain rigorous quality control to meet the design’s craftsmanship standards.
• Monitor site‑level expenses, identify cost‑effective solutions while protecting quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors, skilled labour and on‑site teams to sustain workflow and resolve challenges.
• Step in for the Head of Construction when required, attending meetings and contributing to decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports and conditions.

Required profile

• Proactive and detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing subcontractors and on‑site personnel.
• Excellent problem‑solving attitude and ownership of project outcomes.
