Construction Manager – Data Centre

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major data centre project in Frankfurt. You will be responsible for coordinating all construction activities, ensuring they align with project milestones, safety standards, and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the client and manage consultant, contractor and stakeholder teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define project objectives, delivery strategy and key success metrics.
• Lead governance, risk management and change control processes.
• Oversee programme schedule, budget performance and procurement activities.
• Maintain design integrity, technical compliance and quality standards.
• Produce effective reporting, documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Secure statutory approvals, permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Manage handover, close‑out and operational transition.
• Coordinate CSA, mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams.
• Apply FIDIC contract knowledge and project controls.
• Support testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST) activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large‑scale capital construction projects.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑euro, complex projects from concept to handover.
• Strong client‑facing leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in data‑centre, mission‑critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Experience with main contractors, clients, EPCs or consultancies.
• Professional‑level German language proficiency.
• Legal right to work as a freelancer in Germany.
