Construction Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead German‑based projects for Soben, part of Accenture. The role involves direct management of the General Contractor, coordination with subcontractors, and regular reporting to senior leadership while ensuring compliance with German construction law and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee General Contractor performance from start to completion, ensuring quality, schedule adherence and contractual compliance under VOB/B and the BGB.
• Enforce health and safety standards in line with BaustellV, Arbeitsschutzgesetz and SiGeKo across all active sites.
• Collaborate with site management to maintain DIN and VDI quality standards and deliver projects on time.
• Provide input during feasibility and early design phases (HOAI phases 1‑4) to improve buildability.
• Prepare and maintain construction programmes (Bauzeitenpläne) and high‑level project schedules.
• Coordinate with the General Contractor, separate contractors and subcontractors to avoid conflicts and manage critical path items.
• Liaise with clients, professional planners and the supply chain, delivering regular progress updates and proposing solutions to challenges.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of technical construction systems and German construction law (VOB/B, BGB).
• Proven experience in contract administration and project coordination on large‑scale sites.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities in both German and English.
• Ability to work on‑site and interact with authorities, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
