Construction Manager

About the role

Mercury is seeking a Construction Manager to lead planning and coordination of complex engineering and construction projects in Frankfurt. The role focuses on short‑interval planning, trade coordination and ensuring visibility of constraints across multiple disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate long and short‑interval planning using Visilean look‑aheads (8WLA/4WLA/2WLA/Weekly Work Plans) and capture trade commitments.
• Coordinate multiple trades (CSA, MEP, FP, fit‑out) across zones, ensuring readiness and hand‑offs.
• Maintain a live constraints log, track owners and dates, and escalate unresolved items to the Construction Manager.
• Lead Lean planning sessions, record Percent Plan Complete (PPC) and analyse variances.
• Reconcile short‑term look‑aheads with the master schedule, highlight slippage and propose corrective actions.
• Update Visilean boards and the Common Data Environment (CDE) and produce dashboards on progress, constraints aging and plan adherence.
• Track procurement and logistics, monitor submittals, fabrication status and long‑lead deliveries.
• Interface with BIM coordination, flag trade clashes and align field sequencing with model‑based outputs.
• Report weekly status of look‑aheads, PPC, major risks and mitigation actions to the Construction Manager and Package Leads.
• Support commissioning readiness by sequencing turnover areas and tracking CSA/MEP prerequisites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction planning and trade coordination on large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of Lean construction principles and the Last Planner System.
• Ability to manage constraints, drive escalation processes and maintain accurate planning data.
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
